I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW, License #: LW61449992) in Washington State offering individual and couples therapy services in the Seattle area. My office is based in Georgetown and I am primarily seeing clients in-person unless we have had a conversation about telehealth. Below is some information about my practice including a bit about me, the way I work as well as my rates and insurances I accept. I was raised in the Seattle area and have spent much of my adult life between Seattle and New York City. I am a queer non-binary femme, Bangladeshi American, Muslim, and adoptee. I also walk through the world as a middle-class non-Black person of color with high educational attainment. I am constantly holding in mind the shifting power dynamics of privilege and marginalization as we build our therapeutic relationship. Having humility and centering my clients’ power is personally vital to my practice. I came to clinical work because I know just how meaningful it can feel to be seen and heard when you have experienced trauma and oppression, and I want to create a space where that witnessing is possible.
My second career path is as a writer and performer whose work explores how our bodies hold onto the stories of ourselves and our ancestors. I also play roller derby, organize local events, and spend a lot of time with my cats.
For me, the site of growth is our relationships, both with others and with ourselves. All relationships – and especially significant relationships with caregivers, partners, and our core people – are vital and yet they can also be messy, painful, and potentially traumatizing. We may have developed certain survival skills to cope when past relationships have not met our needs and, over time, we may have internalized narratives about ourselves that no longer serve us. I meet people where they’re at, which means holding space to honor those survival skills while we find new paths that may better fit your life going forward.
I primarily practice relational psychodynamic therapy (a fancy title for attending to these core relationships) and integrate a somatic or body-based lens. I am also trained in modalities such as trauma-focused CBT and mindfulness, which I bring in as we need. With couples, I work through an emotion-focused therapy (EFT) lens.
In addition, I bring an anti-oppression lens to all of my work. My vision of social justice as a clinician is one of concentric circles: my clients and I practice cultivating safety and connection one-on-one, which they bring to healing their circle of relationships, and this radiates out to create larger systemic change.

I have for the past three years worked at the amazing Interconnections Healing Center, a group practice centering anti-oppressive values and working primarily with queer and trans people of color. My internships were at Atlantic Street Center and the Seattle VA Hospital PTSD Clinic. Prior to graduate school, I spent five years supporting people as a birth doula and domestic violence advocate through organizations such as Open Arms Perinatal Services, the YWCA, and QTPOC Birthwerq Project.
For individual therapy, I accept Premera, Lifewise, and most BCBS plans. I will accept Kaiser PPO/FirstChoice and Kaiser HMO plans with pre-authorization.
Couples therapy is usually not covered by insurance, though I am happy to provide a superbill in case yours does.
Private pay fees: Individual and couples therapy – $250 for intake; $200 per 53-minute session; $150 late cancellation/no show fee (if canceled under 48 hours before appointment).
Please contact me about the availability of sliding scale fee slots.
I also provide gender affirming care letters for surgery and other procedures at pay-what-you-can rates down to $0 dollars.
